Vacuum pumps are necessary for a variety of applications including vacuum filtration, degassing, impregnation, drying chambers, rotary evaporators, distillation, gel dryers, and gas analytical systems. Since LabTech has so many other complementary products that also work with vacuums, their engineers determined what factors are most important when developing an effective yet convenient vacuum pump. Between effective performance, convenient footprint, and being able to operate without affecting other processes, the VP Vacuum Pump Series can be integrated into a lab without burdening other scientists or experiments.
LabTech designed their pumps so that users could use the one product for a variety of applications. The housing and construction of the VP Series is lightweight and features an integral carrying handle to make portability easy and convenient. Users can move the pump around the lab and apply it to different equipment as necessary without the hassle of a larger or heavier pump.
VP units are available in 3 different models depending on capacity, weight, size, and precision need:
The most heavy-duty model, the VP50, is only 14 pounds but features up to 150mbar of vacuum pressure. Despite the power, it only has a 14” x 7” base and can handle approx. 50L/min. The VP30 can produce 250mbar of vacuum pressure at only 7 pounds and a 12” x 7” base and can handle approx. 30L/min.
The VP18R is the only model that includes a built-in vacuum regulator. This added feature allows the VP18R to more precisely regulate the vacuum pressure than other pumps. It can perform up to 20mbar of Vacuum pressure, has a 12” x 7” base and weighs only 7 pounds.
LabTech uses tough materials when building the VP Series to ensure that products are durable and will become a staple equipment for any lab that purchases them. Furthermore, all products in this line are oil-free so they require less maintenance expense and overall are easier to maintain. There is also an anti-corrosive coating on the surface and on any important, exposed parts to ensure that the machinery is protected.
