The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer fluorescence Spectrophotometers are spectrophotometers that combine easy handling and use with highly reproducible analysis. A variety of cuvettes are available to use with these spectrophotometers, from microvolume to macrovolume cuvettes, expanding the range of applications and measurements which can be made.

The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer fluorescence Spectrophotometer is an expansion of the basic Eppendorf BioSpectrometer that features an integrated fluorescence module incorporated into the unit. Spectrophotometric measurements can be flexibly executed in the UV/Vis or fluorescence range. The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer fluorescence spectrophotometer can be used to increase the measurement range for biomolecules, e.g. nucleic acids and proteins, by a factor of 1,000 compared to UV measurements alone. What's more, fluorescence dyes allow a more accurate and reliable quantification due to the fact that these dyes bind specifically to the target biomolecule itself. UV/Vis spectroscopy and fluorescence are complementary methods which work synergistically. The Eppendorf BioSpectrometer fluorescence Spectrophotometer is the first spectrophotometer on the market which combines both measuring methods in one small, compact device that is perfect for almost any lab, even those short on space. In combination with the microvolume cuvette, Eppendorf µCuvette® G1.0, it can measure dsDNA in a concentration range from 1 pg/µL to 1,500 ng/µL.
